CARE
Most jewelry from BOHEMIACOLLECTION is made of brass or 925 silver. Some pieces are gold- or silver-plated and then the core is always brass. We also work with copper. Different metals require different cleaning methods for the best results.
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc that creates a beautiful hue and is 100% nickel-free. The color will not fade over time, as the material is solid brass throughout; however, the surface may darken or become matte when exposed to moisture, air, or sweat. How the material reacts varies from person to person, depending on factors such as the wearer's pH level. Many appreciate how the brass surface evolves over time, developing a patina, but if you wish to restore the shine, the piece is easily polished.

If you prefer your jewelry to remain shiny, we recommend polishing it regularly, as this makes it easiest to maintain it shiny. Over time, brass can begin to tarnish, making it more difficult to restore the original shine.
Silver and silver-plated brass naturally darken over time as the surface reacts with sulfur compounds in the air. The surface of silverplated items may first turns yellow and then black if left unpolished. Regular wiping with a silver polishing cloth helps maintain the finish. For stubborn tarnish, we suggest using a silver cleaning dip. We recommend this method for both solid silver and silver-plated items, as it is a gentle cleaning process that does not wear down the silver plating. The best place to store your jewelry to keep it in good condition is in a dark, enclosed space, such as a jewelry box or pouch.
All earring hooks and necklace chains that are not sterling silver are made of gold- or silver-plated brass; the only exception is the thin necklaces, which feature raw brass chains. Many customers with allergies—who can usually only wear gold—appreciate being able to wear our jewelry and often become repeat customers. Should you, against all odds, experience sensitivity to any of our jewelry, please contact us, and we will find a solution that works for you.
If you are unable to polish your jewelry to your satisfaction, you are welcome to send it to our studio for professional cleaning and polishing at no extra cost. SIZE GUIDE
BRACELETS
Measure your wrist with a tape measure; the fit should be neither too tight nor too loose. If your wrist measures approximately 15 cm, you are a size S; 16 cm corresponds to a size M; and 17 cm corresponds to a size L. If your measurement falls between sizes, your choice depends on whether you prefer a tighter or looser fit. If your measurements differ from these, please contact us, and we can create a piece to your specific measurements.
RINGS
1. Choose a ring you wear often—ideally one with a round inner band.
2. Get a ruler or tape measure with millimeter markings.
3. Place the ring on a flat surface and measure it at its widest point. 4. The measurement you have now obtained, taken from the inside of the ring, is the size you should choose.
